So here's my process

I start up the game... looks like decent quality... good music, good use of characters...

then comes the Beard...

Great, awesome concept

But, sadly, in this day and age, we can only click one thing at a time. What might be better is assigning all the lights their own beats, or a few different types, and clicking toggles them or cycles through them, so you can actually get a LIGHTS SHOW. rather than.... a light blinking.

as with many submissions: great, original concept, less than par execution.

This kind of thing, done well enough, could get front page. IMO, I'm not fulp :)

couple things

add some ambient music, it's good to have something to listen to.

grpahics look a bit boring. perhaps a different background color?

all in all, pretty solid.

one thing

buttons. instead of just the words being the buttons, make the buttons squares first, and put the text in the buttons, so all I have to do is click near the text, not exactly only where there is actually text.

not too bad otherwise

it needs instructions

I had no idea what to do at the title screen, I had no idea what to do after I hit play, I hit tab a coulpe of times and saw no buttons, so I didn't really kno w what to do.

Always Always Always make sure your audiance knows what the hell they need to be doing. I'm sure it's a goodd game, but I just can't tell.

excelent game!

I only ran into one bug, which was that the chainsaw sound kept going on after I had switched out kinda fast, I dunno what happened, but it didn't happen again.

since most of the other reviews cover the good pointsof the game, I'll give my hints & Tips.

no matter what weapon you have out, have your secondary be chainsaw. it literally cuts through anything at the wall, and using the mouse and movement keyes can easily defeat any horde at the wall.

for the most part, headshots are the best go for. the only trouble is when the zombie soldiers come, so when that happens, aim for their FEET. no armor or helmets there, and they fall over, dead. very useful as the barret kills everything EXCEPT army men in one hit, so just aim for the feet.

the only improvements I can see is perhaps more variety of weapons, longer gameplay, and perhaps more to do.

oh, and more people. or at least, manage it better. because you can only have 7 total, but it's not that clear the first time I went through, and you can keep searching for people and weapons when you have the max...

maybe if the army didn't come, you had to move and make new barricades in different places, with more scenery and obstacles.

A sequel would be nice :D

Great game, but too repetetive.

don't get me wrong, this is a good review. I certainly enjoy bashing heads repeteadly. but this would benefit soooo much from either a buying system or a level system. level system not so much.

take your points, or in addition to points, gain cash. and from a buy menu you can buy things like combos or more battery or more life. granted, to balance you'll have to make the baddies harder... I haven't compelted it yet, but if the baddies got long range attacks, that'd make it harder. you'd have to dogde more. and of course, you could get attacks. you could get energy attacsk taht look exactly like your aura.

sooo much more could be done with this. I def. want to see another sequel.

p.s. also, finishing moves that are used automatically, and are random, but only used on the last move you use on the last enemy in a fight. something random accoridng to which type of attack. only because the slow motion while running grab is the best thing evar.

NOOO!!!!!

:'( my ship a splode.....

great reference, and works with the um... genre? very nice spin. not that hard, depending on your well you work visually.

where's the music from? I recognize it, but can't remember at the moment :'(

great game, a little buggy

I'd love to see a second version to this... some improvements.

1) maybe have different types of weapons. like you hit guns, then choose from like a sniper (hits one dude, but can shoot far and accuately, perhaps a red dot for targetign) and a shotgun (close range knockback, hits multiple targets, average-small damage) kinda thing. mines maybe as well?
2) better AI. not that I'm complaining, the CPU was pretyt stupid. alot of the time it would just shoot the ground, shoot in whatever direction it was facing, or not move at all and go to the next turn.

some bugs were that the screen would occasionaly skip, so i'd jump off some stairs and clearly not be in any danger, then it would skip and I'd randomly fall off the edge... not so much fun.

things I liked... the entire system. original enough. I liked how because of turn based-ness, a group of 5 would move slower than a group of 2, evening the odds a bit. very nice.

good good good!

but there should be more civilian reaction. example: a guy gets sniped on a train. nobody else moves.

riiiiiight. there should be at least some panic and/or screaming. it was better in part two, with the guys running and alarms and whatnot.

I make cool Music with FL8. sometimes it's more classical, sometimes it's more industrial. Go figure. No, actually, go listen to it and review it!
