GOOOOO ARGENTINA!!!!!!!!!!!!

what can I say? I'm a sucker for rookies.

The paint drying was the best part of the movie, but I also really liked the japaneese show.

The art was really good (especially the lighting changes when the sun came out), but most of the humour was from sound, which I really liked.

that was exactly what my insomnia was looking for. though I could've done without the Salad Fingers bit.

and you nearly scared me there, threatening to put up that picture of a monster. I knew you were too chicken though. :D

yay for credits.

an excelent flash animation

wow, right from the start, with the narrators arguing, it's just too gorram funny! the accents threw me off a bit at first, but the honestly give such a personality to the characters. much of the humour was verbal or from the audio, which I think is great.

only one slight plot thing that may or may not be cleared in the second one, is he says "you know whose going to be there" and he starts drooling, imagining this princess. so... do they go to the same school as a real princess, or are they making this one popular girl seem exagerrated? 'cause I didn't see no hot girl on the field trip :D

the animation was very stylish. it was a bit more cartoony than other things I've seen, but it was consistent, and when he does go to save the princess (in his head) I LOVE the line-heavy anime-action style thing you do.

also... what kind of fantasy world is this in? at first it didn't seem like earth, but then there's school, their clothing is all modern, and they reference america twice. (american pengiun bit was hilarious!)

Darkar responds:

Hey! Very nice review! Well, to clarify some points. They're making this popular girl seem exagerated, and maybe I didn't draw it too hot but she's in the field trip with them just when the blue shirt guy asks if penguins live in the South Pole. An yep it's Earth... or at least I think these two episodes reflect that. Thank you very much for your review! I enjoyed it a lot!

I love you man.

"hey! did your cells stop dividing? or are you just cheap?"

I'll have to pick up the book, 'cause these things are rather... unenlightening.

and it's not so much that they're short now, but THE DAMN CLIFFHANGERS!!!!! augh. not that it's that uncertain, but still. Will dirge make it? why did the hand of god attack zoe? where the hell are the other humans? why is my sandwich moldy?

heh. twenty years. you better not.

I think this would be best as a graphic novel. the art itself is good, but It's sometimes very obvoius all you're doing is tweening. The audio, OTOH, really makes this series.

It entertained me.

I haven't seen saw, but that was funny. the fart joke could've been less... graphic, but at least you made up for it. and I love how nonchalant the guy is about being almost sure to die in someplace he doesn't know. some of the jokes were a little weak like the TV issues (should've been shorter, and just one larger problem. like he tries the Plasma, then it falls (explode maybe) then has to roll one of those old TV's in or something)

the rammstein bit was l33t, and I didn't really get the reaaally random stuff, but it was still entertaining.

4/5 not the best, but kept me intrigued.

Haha, I actually would've used that old t.v idea if I thought of it before. Thats pretty good. Happy it amused you, thanks for the review.

impeccable.

I see you agree with me in that things in music videos HAVE TO work in time with the beat. i.e. when he shoots cupids.... gun? ...also the falling glass.

the breaking and falling glass was animated extremely well. it seemed a bit 3D, but didn't clash with the 2D animation.

only one problem... and I got over it.... he wasn't doing the side-to-side headbang thing. or rather, side-to-middle. you know what I mean. he should've been doing that in the begining, and maybe have the cupid guy doing it while he was playing the keyboard.

all 'round good clean fun! 5/5

JoeandTom responds:

I was really debating whether to do this or not... But after including it in, I decided not to, for some reason it just looked better that way.. But I'm glad you noticed what was on beat, I tried to make everything I could to the beat (for instance, even the candles on the table are bouncing to the beat) I think that made up for it! Thanks for the review dude!

roffle

that was good. 'send error report' indeed.... I wouldn't be surprised if they actually did shock you or something.

and then, of course, what any REAL man would do when confronted by his shoulder angel. the blood was a nice touch. was that a bone cracking I heard? bwa ha ha ha.

hah. I'm so going to learn that on the piano now!

muahahaha. now I can learn the song without the sheets.

very innovative, a little on the short side, not for movie, but for song length. I'd like to see the pattern each robot took in full... but that's just to learn it :P

5/5, if I get around to voting.

wery good, comrade.

I, as you (hopefully) don't know, am the current re-incarnation of Joseph Stalin, so this episode (and the next) are likely to be my favourite.

I'll have to find someone born before '82 though... I can't tell who the commie superhero is. I was hoping it was Super-Stalin or something... but my next guess was like the Red Superman, but he's too skinny, and I don't think this is DC comics. but, I suppose I'll find out in due time. JFK?

yay for cheap view askew references.

also, only at the second viewing do you notice the sign behind the kid says 'Santas Vunderland'

Thanks for watching so intently.

For those of you who are not as ancient as I am:

very good!

the graphics were slightly lacking in parts of the fight scene. some angles seemed strange, and some drawings were just kind of... askewed? in any event, it wasn't that much of a problem, and only really in the fight sequence. I didn't entirely like Satans eyes, but beggars can't be choosers.

music was BRILLIANT. I know you didn't make it, but choice of what is used is key, and I know I'm going to check out this milkman-dans music!

as for storyline... I see santa lost some weight. he does look more badass this way though. little kid satan was a good bit. especially the puppy cerbie. Cerberus rocks!

and only one minor plot hole I'm willing to forgive is that... satans historically not big on love. but I see this isn't exactly the same satan that was the angel lucifer and such from tech christiam mythos.

2D is so hardcore in that...

also, Noddle isn't really dead... else where do the guitars come from? can't bring back 2D's girlfriend, can we?

really, if you look at enough bios or FAQ's (or buy Rise of the Ogre) you'll see that Noodle isn't really dead. and as the guy before me said, O Green World came before feel good inc in the track listing, so I agree with that. after all Demon Days was kind of a soundtrack, and Elmanana seems to pick up after Feel Good Inc.

other than the fact that the animation was a bit lackinga nd the characters were sketched, not bad. the coneptual part of it was obviously good. I def. like how 2D was acting most of the time, and I expected him to go and like, kill everything at the end. alas.

(Noodle could've killed them)

I make cool Music with FL8. sometimes it's more classical, sometimes it's more industrial. Go figure. No, actually, go listen to it and review it!
